Meet Holly at ICFF
May 14, 20010

Yes, we are very aware that it has been almost a year to the day since our last update on this site, but not to worry, we are around and have a lot of new Products & Projects that are releasing soon.

First, meet one of our newest product releases from Henry Julier, Holly. It is a shelf bracket system made of Powder Coated Steel and FSC White Maple Shelves. The brackets utilize a built in steel structure that support a large amount of weight using a minimal amount of material to fabricate the final product.

It is currently available for commercial or residential use in either a Matte White or Black Bracket with or without a Maple Plank. For the stand-alone DIY crowd, it was designed to accept any plank up to 1.5" thick.

You can see Holly exhibited all over NYC this week for ICFF, but its premiere unvailing will be at CITE in SoHo. Please find more information on the opening for CITE Goes America here.

In a few days, we will be unvailing some pre-release images of the new Staach Permanent Collections that will highlight the development of these new products as well as some links to our latest commercial projects.
Purpose & Worth
May 16, 2009

We are proud to announce two things.

The first being the addition of Henry Julier to our sustainable manufacturing roster. We are now manufacturing his new Magneto shelving system comprised of ROHS Compliant Neodymium Magnets and FSC Certified Hard Maple.

It is sold as a set of 4 shelves and a solid powder coated steel back panel. The system will be available through a number of distributors across the country within the upcoming months. If you would like any additional information on it please feel free to contact Henry here.

The second being a live exhibition of this new system along with many other upcoming and established designers at the American Design Club's third live show. Located at the DWR Flatiron (903 Broadway & 20th) in New York this coming up Monday during Design Week. It should be a well attended event so be sure to show up and check things out from 6-8pm or take a look at the press release. See you at the show!
Earth Hour 2009
March 28, 2009

Once again Staach will be participating in Earth Hour just as we did last year. However, because it falls on a Saturday, we will diligently honor the event this coming Monday by completely shutting down all electrical based production and office based tasks. Although everyone at Staach will be honoring the event tonight, we felt it important to make a strong effort during the work week when electricity is consumed at a much higher rate.

If you have never heard about Earth Hour, please check it out, we think it is a fantastic awareness event and cause to keep people in check when it comes to our incresing demand for energy. We'll see you Tuesday!

Modern American Sustainable Part II
March 4, 2009

With no suprise it turns out the event was a huge success and event organizer Kimberly Oliver could not be happier. As a follow up to last week's post on the event, we pulled some images courtesy of Staach friend and photographer Shannon McCook.

Thank you once again to DWR and those of you who attended; for those of you who didn't, shame on you. However, there are a lot of new events and public projects on the horizon so you will see us appearing live again soon.

Modern American Sustainable
February 24, 2009

Special event, live and in-person, for one night only...plus there is free swag.

So DWR aka Design Within Reach called us up a couple weeks ago with an invitation to speak at a Sustainable Design & Manufacturing panel discussion at their 14th Street store in NYC. We, of course, gladly accepted the invitation along with fellow design buddies, Greg Benson of Loll and Carlos Salgado of Scrapile.

It should be a well attended event, so if you have not yet RSVP'd, do it at the DWR link above or else you will miss out on all the free stuff, including a furniture set from Loll and some Enos/Cain Collection from yours truely.

See you there.

It's already picking up some great Press, ID, Core77 and Metropolis.

Enos Collection Tableware
October 20, 2008

Staach has released a new tableware collection, the Enos Collection Serving Tray.

We feel that bringing food from the kitchen to the table or having a platform to plate a basic meal should be one of simplicity. This line of serving trays from STAACH provides a wide range of sizes and finishes for any space or table setting. Each piece allows the user to plate food directly on the surface and carry it to the serving area with a simple undercut rather than obtrusive handles.

Keeping with our sustainable manufacturing process, the trays are comprised of both new and reclaimed wood. We were able to use remnants from our production shop mixed with new stock when needed to form the various sizes in the collection; all pieces will be available through our dealers starting this week.

Check out a preview of the new collection here.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions about the line or how to locate a Staach dealer nearest you to grab a couple for the perfect gift this holiday season.

DWELL NextHouse
July 30, 2008

Even though there has already been a post today, we figured it would fit well to see a little back log info on the DWELL NextHouse we did this past March.

The house was designed by Joel Turkel of Empyrean and all interior spaces were designed by another close friend of Staach, Sally Kuchar. We were contracted to provide furnishings for the kitchen which included the Cain Collection Kitchen Stools, Dining Chairs, and a custom extension version of our Table 2. Find images of the home and its interior below.

T-Minus...
July 30, 2008

The new site is progressing very well because a close friend of Staach, Ekene Ijeoma, decided to take on the project last October.

He is currently enrolled at the Domus Academy in Milan working on his Masters. His site shows a wide range of work, so check it out and interact with some of the dynamic applications.

As you may have also noticed, we updated our brand identity and had a public release of the Cain Collection, which is now available at on-line retailers and furniture boutiques across the United States. For a complete list of retail locations, please contact our Sales Department using the e-mail address to the left.

Many things have been going on since the site has been updated. So while we update the new site, this news page will serve as the liason between you and the latest on Staach. The first couple of posts will refer back to an old news article so we can catch you up and then things will become current.

A recent item includes the new post on Planet Green: Top Green Furniture Tips. Or you can view the entire article here.

Check back again tomorrow for more.
